Plan your Hoi An tailor fittings around your travel dates

Enter when you arrive and leave, tick the garments you want, and see the day you are measured, the day you try the garment on and the day you collect it. The planner uses the days each garment needs at Bao An Tailor and tells you if your trip is too short, and what still fits if it is.

HOW THE DAYS WORK

How the days work

Day one is the day you are measured; the garment is cut and sewn that day, you try it on, adjustments are made, and you try it on again. At Bao An both fittings happen on the same day, so a morning order is usually collected the same evening and an afternoon order the next morning. The planner counts your arrival day if you reach the shop before 5 pm and your departure day if you leave after 2 pm; try the garment on before you pay the balance.

Days are Bao An Tailor's lead times; many Hoi An shops fit once a day and ask for two to four days. Busy season, premium fabrics and several garments at once can add a day, so a second day is a comfortable margin. The Hoi An tailor guide explains each step.

SHORT STAYS

If your trip is short

  • One day or a day trip from Da Nang: come in the morning, choose and get measured, spend the afternoon in the old town, come back for the two fittings and collect. A suit ordered after lunch is ready the next morning; ask for delivery to your Da Nang hotel if you cannot return. See what you can have made in a day or two.
  • Two days: comfortable for anything, including several garments at once; order on the first day and keep the second as a margin.
  • Leaving before it is ready: Bao An ships internationally; agree the cost before you order and have the shop photograph the garment on a form before it is packed.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Planning questions

How many days do I need in Hoi An for a tailor?

One at Bao An Tailor: measured, fitted twice and finished within the day, with afternoon orders ready the next morning; a second day is a comfortable margin. Shops that fit once a day ask for two to four. The planner checks Bao An’s lead time against your dates.

Does the arrival day count?

If you reach the shop before about 5 pm, yes: you can be measured and the garment is cut that evening. If you arrive late, the next morning is day one. The planner asks which applies.

What if my trip is too short?

Choose quicker garments, ask the shop about a rush order, or plan delivery to your hotel in Da Nang or shipping home. The planner shows which of your garments still fit when the full list does not.

Can I be measured before I arrive?

Measuring is done in the shop, but sending your dates and a style number by WhatsApp beforehand lets the team reserve fabric and plan your fittings, which matters in the busy season from December to February.

Are the shops open every day?

Bao An Tailor is open daily, 8:30 AM–8:30 PM, every day of the year including Tet, the Lunar New Year, when many other Hoi An shops close for several days.
